Gilead Science, a US based pharmaceutical manufacturer of high potency pharmaceuticals acquired the former Altana tabletting plant in Co. Cork. Thereafter it embarked on a production expansion project consisting of new packaging building, new warehouse building with a link backbone to the existing plant.
The new facility consisted of 3,300 sq.m of packaging halls incorporating Grade D classified cleanrooms; warehouse of 2,800 sq.m comprising of high bay narrow aisle racking and a backbone linking the new facility with the existing buildings.

Kirby Group was contracted to install all electrical, instrumentation and data communication services. The installation scope may be summarised as follows:
