Kirby Group is a leading installer of Balance of Plant(BoP) services to the Renewable Sector. We provide a complete turnkey service to our client base, the most notable of which is Airtricity. Our involvement extends from design development, procurement, construction, commissioning and after sales service.

Kirby Group, through our specialist Kirby Power division, is actively involved in wind farm developments through the provision of balance of plant services to turbine manufacturers, construction companies, wind farm developers etc.

Our Electrical Engineering and Design department employs chartered engineers with specific MV/HV project management expertise. This department is central to the deliverance of BOP services from design through to commissioning.

A summary of BOP services provided by Kirby Group is as follows:

• Design, Engineering and Procurement
• Certification of compliance with regulatory authority requirements
• Equipment specification
• Construction including electrical, fibre(SCADA) and civils
• Installation and Commissioning
• Client instruction and handover
• Maintenance 

Our involvement in the wind farm sector as BOP contractor began in 2004 and since then we have installed BoP serviceswith cumulative generation capacity in excess of 160MWe.
